here champions are made - on and off the ice
Welcome to Taylored Minds, where the journey transcends the physical to conquer the mental aspects of sport and life. Founded by Taylor, a former competitive athlete turned mental performance coach, our mission is rooted in the transformative power of the mind.

Taylor played five seasons with St. Thomas University in New Brunswick, competing in the USports league. During her time there, she helped the team make history by winning their first-ever AUS Championship title in 2019 and competing at Nationals twice.
Her leadership and commitment earned her the Cathy Wadden Commitment Award and a nomination for the prestigious James Bayer Memorial Award, recognizing excellence in academics, athletics, leadership, and community involvement.
EARLY YEARS
Born in Brantford, Ontario, in 1994, Taylor Cook discovered her passion for hockey at a young age. From early mornings on backyard rinks to competing at the highest levels, her journey was fueled by relentless dedication and a mindset built for growth. By 2012, she was competing with the Stoney Creek Junior Sabres, earning recognition as a standout goaltender.
UNIVERSITY & AWARDS

PROFESSIONAL CAREER
After university, Taylor took her career to the professional stage, competing internationally for three seasons. She played two seasons in Norway’s Bambusa Ligaen, where she consistently delivered standout performances, posting an impressive .934 and .922 save percentage in back-to-back seasons. In 2022, she continued her career in Almaty, Kazakhstan in the EWHL, where she backstopped her team with a .909 save percentage, proving her ability to compete at an elite level across different playing styles and environments.
INJURY & COMEBACK
Competing overseas brought new challenges, but the toughest test came in 2021 when she suffered a serious knee injury requiring MCL reconstructive surgery. The road to recovery was long—eight months of intense physiotherapy while navigating life in a new country. The experience tested her resilience, but giving up was never an option. Her determination paid off., allowing her to return for her final professional season in Kazakhstan, competing in the EWHL.

TRANSITION TO COACHING
Throughout her playing career, Taylor recognized that the mental side of the game was just as important as the physical one. While still competing, she began studying performance psychology, earning her Performance Coaching Certification in 2022.
She started working with athletes, helping them develop the mindset needed to perform under pressure, push through adversity, and reach their full potential.
TAYLORED MINDS
In 2023, Taylor founded Taylored Minds, bringing her firsthand experience as both an athlete and a coach to professional and elite level athletes, coaches, and teams worldwide. She now helps competitors at all levels strengthen their mental resilience, focus, and confidence, using strategies she honed through years of elite competition.
Taylor understands the highs and lows of competition, the battles with confidence, the pressure to perform, and the mental toughness it takes to succeed. Through Taylored Minds, she helps athletes master their mindset and elevate their game—not just in sport, but in life.
